Definition

Welding is a process of joining two or more pieces (usually metal) in which heat and/or pressure melt part of the pieces, or a filler material is added; they are brought together and, as they cool, they become joined.

Types

There are 4 types of welding: soft soldering, brazing, oxyacetylene, and resistance or electric arc welding (arc, spot and seam).
